When you rank on Pinterest, it’s just the first step in getting more visible to your dream clients and customers.

how to get visible to your customers on Pinterest. Not just rank on Pinterest

When you step into the shoes of your customer, so much becomes clear!

I hear all the time “are my people on Pinterest?” Or “Is Pinterest right for my business?”

Today I’m answering these questions and bringing you a few more tips to get started if you’re thinking of using Pinterest in your business.

Short answer…YES and…see what Pinterest tells you.

Start with the research first.

I honestly point blank can’t clarify that 100% for you, but I CAN get a better idea when I research.

For most businesses, your people ARE there.

It’s just a matter of figuring out HOW you’re going to position yourself on Pinterest.

Stepping into your customers shoes is the first step in this process.

Here are a few tips as to WHY stepping into their shoes is SO important you your marketing on Pinterest.

Tip #1: You are able to see how they are approaching Pinterest

When you put yourself in their shoes, you are able to better see how they would experience Pinterest.

Experience their search on Pinterest as they would.

This helps you as a business owner better position yourself in a way that serves your customers.

This is also where you can determine keywords or phrases that your customers are using. Those keywords used in your content are what will help you rank on Pinterest.

Tip #2: Figure out where are they’re at on their journey

Here’s some food for thought…people on Pinterest are completely new to your business.

They have NO idea who you are, so they are not likely ready to pull out their credit cards.

You as a business owner have to figure out where a pinner would be at in their Pinterest journey.

I love to use the example if you were a bookkeeper.

Your current 1:1 clients…probably aren’t on Pinterest researching DIY bookkeeping resources…but maybe they were 6-12 months ago.

They are at a different stage in their journey as a business owner when they outsource their books, compared to someone who is just starting to make money in business.

See the difference? Can you see how that newer business owner may be using Pinterest?

A great tip I love to give other business owners is to get some insight from those current clients.

What were they struggling with earlier on in their journey. Because that point of struggle would have been what prompted them to seek help via search.

Tip #3: Determine what value you can provide to them at that point in their journey

If the newer business owner is researching tips anf info on how to manage their own bookkeeping…give them the solutions they need.

This could be through blog posts, freebies, products…however you feel you can serve them best!

When you show up and add value to their life as a stranger…they’re much more likely to want to learn more about you and what else you have to offer.

If anything, you become a high value resource…and someone they may end up hiring down the road.

Stepping into the shoes of your customers AND meeting them where they’re at makes for an amazing first impression with a new potential customer.

Make sure you make that first impression a good one!!

There’s so much more to getting visible to your customers than to simply rank on Pinterest.
