How To Create More Alignment In Business

Alignment is business can lead to creating a business that you can’t wait to wake up to.

It leads to creating a business that also creates SO much more joy in your life.

But how exactly do you go about creating more alignment in your business?

We’re going to dive into exactly that!

Alignment in life and business is obviously a HUGE topic!  That’s why I’m focusing on a few things that really helped me in my own business when I decided to STOP building a business in a box.

Today I’m covering my top 3 tips to get started with creating more alignment in your business.

And it’s a lot simpler than you might think!

Creating alignment starts with adding in a touch more mindfulness when it comes to making decisions for your business, and your marketing.

Alignment in Business – Tips For Getting Started

Tip #1: Create Space for Stillness

Creating time and space to STOP being busy.  This is simple, but not as easy as you may think.

So what does this mean?

What does it mean to be still?

One of the things that I had to come to terms with, as an Enneagram 3 and also being highly driven…was that slowing down WAS productive.

I always feel like I have to be doing something.

If I’m doing something thenI’m being productive.

What I had to learn is that it’s not ONLY about doing, but it’s also in creating that space for stillness.

To JUST be.

To be still.

Whether that is in silence, through meditation, getting outside, or enjoying nature.

It’s about intentionally putting down your phone, laptop, tv, or in general decreasing the input that is coming in.

Because in stillness you start to hear your own thoughts, listen to that voice inside you, and some of that inner wisdom that you have within you.

This opens up a dialogue between you and yourself.

It creates a sense of understanding the things you enjoy doing within your business, and the things that you don’t enjoy doing within your business.

Tip #2: Do Some “Future” Journaling

Future journaling is something I started doing as a part of my morning routine.

It’s more than just writing out a stream of thoughts.

WIth future journaling you are painting a picture of what you see in the future for your business.

Specifically, try to journal out a future scenario.

If we’re looking at your business and we’re thinking of ways to create more alignment, more space, more joy…take a journal, sit down in stillness, and start journaling out what you see for your business.

Like what do you envision in that future?

What is that vision for the future?

If your business was giving you everything that you wanted it to give you, if it was your dream business, your dream day, your dream week, what does all of that look like?

Pick something along those lines and try some future journaling, because that’s going to help you to start to see what you’re actually working towards.

When you have a picture of the future of your business, it helps SO much in the present to make decisions.

Tip #3: Trust Yourself Going Forward

When running a business in the online space, learning to trust yourself can be one of the hardest things you have to do.

Because we all come into it learning from others.

We learn from coaches, courses and programs.

This is all amazing for us and needed when we are getting started.

But at some point, trusting yourself means making decisions for your business based on what feels right for you, not what someone else is telling you.

At the end of the day, it really comes down to trusting yourself.

Are you choosing to market on a certain platform because you believe that this is the place for you and your business, or is it because somebody else in another program told you this is where you should be?

It’s a matter of looking within yourself, and really trusting your gut and trusting what you yourself feels about that choice.

Find that space and time to look within yourself, and really figure out “is this the right thing for me”?

Or is it not the right thing for me?

Build that trust within yourself to make those decisions, versus making decisions based on someone else’s input.

If something doesn’t feel right for you in your gut, don’t ignore that.

That is that, that is your inner guidance system, trust it!
