Building A Powerful Pinterest Strategy - 3 Tips To Creating a Pinterest Strategy That Converts

Pinterest strategy? What exactly is that and how do I create one! If you’re asking yourself these questions…hang tight and read the rest of this post!

Building a powerful Pinterest strategy is where I begin with ALL the new clients I work with. Because if you don’t have the roadmap figured out, how will you know if your’re making progress.

Same is true in business. Most of us have some sort of a plan or strategy when it comes to our businesses. That’s how we know we are going to hit our goals…or if we need to make improvements.

Today I am covering my top 3 tips for building a Pinterest strategy that ultimately converts for your business.

Tip #1: Powerful Pinterest Strategy Goals

Your Pinterest strategy starts with figuring out what your goals are for using Pinterest. Answer the question “Why Am I Using Pinterest to Market My Business?”

Those goals are critical to help you determine you are on the right track with using Pinterest.

If you don’t know where you’re going, you’re going to get lost REAL fast!

So what do you want Pinterest to do for your business?

Pro Tip – I highly recommend you set email list building as a goal for Pinterest!

Everything else can fall into place once you pull the right people from Pinterest into your business…which is your email list.

Building your email list will have a domino effect on everything else you have going on in your business behind the scenes.

Pinterest Strategy Tip #2: Have an Offer That Solves A Problem

Your people ARE on Pinterest! Period! End of story!

The trick is to figure out what they are searching for on Pinterest and how can you meet them where they’re at?

An offer doesn’t have to be something paid or even a freebie. Those things care a piece of it, but most important your offer is made in your content.

Think about your person on Pinterest.

They are trying to solve a problem and that’s why they’re searching. They need their problem solved…sometimes ASAP.

Your content is vital in being a first touch point for them, and building trust.

Serve them well at your first interaction with them and they will continue to come back…or they WILL opt-in to your list!

Solve problems, build trust and have customers for life.

Tip #3: Understand Your Customer Journey

When you walk in your customer’s shoes and can better understand them, you can better serve them.

Your person on Pinterest is at an entry level point in their journey.

Pinterest as a part of your Pinterest strategy needs to be looked at as your “top of funnel”.

Know what they are struggling with that would prompt them to search on Pinterest.

You serve them with your content.

Think through their next steps with you after they’re read your content. What makes the most sense.

Also, ask yourself how you can best deliver on the value from what you showcased on your pins.

If you think through every step they take with you from the Pin to their joining your email list, you will be able to figure out a powerful Pinterest strategy that converts for your business.

Figuring out these key pieces will help you maximize your results from Pinterest.

Starting with this piece and creating your Pinterest strategy first is what gets Pinterest to work for you!
